I injected aqualyx into the malar far pad yesterday.
Today I noticed a little purple spot on one injection site which is one of the closest to the nose and probably in the middle of the fat pad, so close to the muscle acitvated when scrunching your nose, and the area being very numb.
I checked refill ( pressed the area for a couple seconds and then see how long it stays white). Mine returned to its before colour quickly. Also the shape of the purple spot is not net like. So I don't think/hope it's not a blood vessel.
So it's probably a bruise of necrosis.
Or maybe I injected into the muscle.
Has someone experienced this and knows what it is, what I should do and if it just goes away by itself.
AI told me topical steroids might be needed to minimize damage, so should I apply the hydrocortisone I have?
This is my first time experiencing this.
Please help
