As my strabismus surgery date gets closer and closer
I worry about what could happen to the vision in my eyes
Growing up crosseyed my brain only learned to use one eye to see
The other eye gets suppressed because the misalignment causes a false input into the visual system
But moving the eye back into the right spot
There's a chance I could get double vision because my brain wont know how to process vision using 2 eyes
But if I'm being honest I don't really give a fuck
Anything is better than living in this hell
Even if I regret what I'm about to do, at least it means something to me, at least it's something I fought for
I genuinely have nothing to lose looking like this, in a way I'm free of that anchor, it's simply life or death to me. I get reborn on that operating table or I continue a tortured existence of death.
(Not me but I have similar misalignment)
