It's wastefulness theory in action. I can afford to have more head hair, and keep it well-kept and still look good. Face stays the same.

Baggy clothes give a slightly nonchalant vibe and puts you in the category where you can't be pinned as a try-hard. As long as you're wearing good quality slightly baggy clothes, it'll be looked at positively. I don't advocate wearing shabby clothes or oversized bin bags.

Baggy is better even if you have a ripped physique underneath, or if you're slightly overweight. It exudes ease and comfortability. Oversized tshirts can also make your frame appear a bit wider. The main point is that the clothes look good, and the excess evidence of it being a popular men's clothing style among young women.
