I don't even know how he found me, I have like 10 connections. But maybe that's a good sign for quant since it shows you're autistic. You start as a desk quant analyst and move to a quant researcher. 150K + 20% raise a yr, after 3 yrs they can choose to hire you as a quant researcher.
