Question about tretinoin

I can't order Retin-A to finland so I had to buy tretinoin. But my question is if I suddenly stop using it do I still need to apply sunscreen everyday? Will my skin become less sensitive to burns and all that shit? I heard if you use tretinoin and your skin gets burned there will be some brown looking marks on your skin that are permanent and I dont rly want that.
