wdym bro it still works. Literally listening to people is insane on how much it affects relationships. Ofc you shouldn't do this while dating bc most women are superficial and changing that first impression ( determined by looks ) is like climbing mt. everest and often isn't worth it.

It doesn't work to make friends, it's more like a guide on how to keep them, so you need to have them already in the first place, so when you listen to them, smile, approve, etc. they will feel good and like you even more. But if your status is high, you can be a complete asshole and still have people sucking up to you. Women can be obnoxious/dumb/rude/boring/etc. and still have an army of simps at their feet, they simply can't lose.
But if you're low status, it doesn't really matter what you do, you aren't going to make friends by simply listening to them, or being affable, you'll mostly be treated like crap.
