That’s correct, Punjabi is a cultural identity. No, I’m not Mirpuri. I am unironically closer to certain Brahmins than I am to Mirpuris. I believe there is certain propaganda aimed towards Mirpuris about how they’re “not Kashmiris.” They are nearly just as distant to me than other Kashmiris are, including Pandits and Srinagar Muslims.
