People talk about the future decline of european white's population worldwide, which is true. However In nearly all cultures, whether it's black, asian, middle eastern or South American, the undeniable trend is favourability towards lighter skin.

There is even something in the black community called colorism where mulattos are treated better than darkskin blacks.

There is literally no country/culture on Earth where darker skin is seen as higher class, higher status and preferable (There is a trend in white societies towards preference of tanned skin, but tanned white skin that is, not tanned dark skin). This trend seems to be only getting stronger, and does not appear to be going away anytime soon.

What is the outcome of this?

In a few decades european whites will be the minority, but have incredibly high SMV.

Like @streege said, just because there is a preference for lighter, doesn't mean it has anything to do with European people.
A large part of why lighter skin is seen as attractive is because it signified upper class (not having to stay in the sun doing labor jobs). This is especially true in India. They aren't literally trying to become white people.

There is an insane cope to believe during history and even nowadays, that white features are considered ideal everywhere.
Looks has more to do with culture, and soft power, symbolic, than it has to do with objective "evolutionary" features if there is - and btw, if all those ethnicities survived it also mean it was adapted to evolution so it's an autistic take to believe only white adapted to evolution.

Certain Asian cultures have a completely different set of beauty standards. White people will not have the highest SMV in these cultures/countries. That being said, I have no idea what's going to happen. People of color are getting more and more attention and love on social media, TV, Movies, etc. Down the road, we are going to have more and more mixed people. Gen Z has more interracial dating then ever before. Look at how much society and our values have changed since the 1950's. Maybe I'm just optimistic, but I think beauty standards WILL change down the road.
