Ok but this would only apply to information that was recorded virtually. No one knew Kanye sucked his cousins dick. Even in post AGI future this would probably still be private information unless we just start streaming every person's uncensored thoughts into each other's heads 24/7.

Not the incest stuff, but there’s things that have haunted me that I’ve never told anyone else and I even suppressed myself. It made me a bitter, scared person for a long time. I’ve come to realize it was all for nothing, and in reality I never had anything to lose, because I was never me.

I could take the easy way and just say advances in technology like neuralink to monitor memories, but there’s probably going to be technology we can’t even conceive of atm

I’m not saying this is in a certain timeline in like 5 years I have no idea when and predictions about technology are kinda useless, but it’ll come to fruition eventually.

Maybe, a technology like that seems like an insane gamble. Modern society in all its development already convinces enough people that kids aren't worth it, who's to say they will think some super ASI developed for the sole purpose of continuing human existence is worth it? Truthfully I'd be surprised if we make it that far, or if we make it and it doesn't immediately kill us, I'd be surprised if it doesn't end up like Elysium or something with rich people taking the tech and just going to do their own thing or even the ASI just dipping off into space on its own volition.
