I don't care to refine or expand on this rant, let me know what you think. I did go on a bit of a tangent midway but there's somewhat of a connection there.

I recently came across a TikTok about misanthropy. It was just a clip of Elliot Rodger (who I think is a loser) with a sad audio, but all the comments, to my surprise, were agreeing with it.

All of these people's frameworks are completely dictated by emotion rather than rational reasoning. Their anger is misdirected toward the entire human race instead of the system and the specific people causing it. The system and those people influence opinions through various methods, the most prominent being social media.

This also reminded me that while lookism is naturally occurring—embedded in our biology to find the most optimal partner to reproduce with—modernity and social media make it worse than it should be. People make it worse, then complain about it.

This motivated me to uninstall that shitty app. Short-form social media is useless. Very few people on those platforms think for themselves. People share opinions, and others agree if the person seems intelligent, attractive, or both. What's worse is that people tend to accept the opinions deemed most socially acceptable. A select few adapt niche opinions that most would disagree with, but they still put very little thought into it. The entire premise of short-form social media—whether someone is accepted—is based on looks and perceived intelligence.

There's also propaganda pushed to people of low intelligence. A good example is the psyop making young men hate all women because of hypergamy, even though both genders are inherently hypergamous, which is not a bad thing.

This psyop is leading young men to embrace transhumanism, or at least become more accepting of it. I don't have a bias against pharmacology or self-improvement, but it's obvious that looksmaxxing has become less about self-improvement and more about a propaganda tool to desensitise us to transhumanism. If you are poorly developed and struggle, use pharmacology to your advantage—but keep in mind that this must stop at pharmacology or minor surgeries.

While looks are important, they are not absolutely everything.

So once again, I am not denying the importance of looks in every aspect of life but that importance should be taken with a grain of salt. Be sceptical of everything.

I wonder why you take transhumanism as bad? Is it because it'll create a very noticable power imbalance or rather make us lose our human identity?

Transhumanism will inevitably lead to further loss of autonomy and freedom. It will also allow for greater potential for the system to exploit us and the vulnerabilities that can be associated with transhumanism.

Transhumanism is only part of the issue. Technology overall will, at some point, render humans useless. Due to technological advancements in AI, robotics, and more, technology will be capable of what humans are but thousands of times more efficiently. We are already seeing this happen.

Let us postulate that transhumanism does succeed. If transhumanism succeeds in the next several decades or centuries, will computer scientists and engineers not be able to create machines capable of what humans are capable of but thousands of times better? Machine-made decisions will be much more logically sound and efficient than anything a human could do. This will eventually be taken to the point where humans are rendered useless and where everything in society is overseen by machines. Machines will be so in control that any human input will be rendered useless.

It could even get to the point where humans are incapable of living without the decisions of machines. Human consciousness, as we know it, would be slowly stripped away. Transhumanism would effectively make us machines. We are already becoming human cattle or cogs in the system. Transhumanism would only worsen this.

Humans are already so distracted that they don't see anything wrong with modern society, and, as I've said before, propaganda through various means—such as short-form social media, is already stripping away many individuals ability to think critically. If transhumanism succeeds, the brainwashing will only become easier for the system, and we will reach a point of no return. Additionally, transhumanism will allow the system to silence individuals who are actively trying to revolt against it much more easily. Though, for transhumanism and the development of technology to get to the point where the system can work efficiently without interruptions, all of those individuals must have already been silenced.

Just look around you. We are already at the point where people dread thinking.

I understand the concern over the loss of autonomy but wouldn't a machine made society just be a better improvement to what ever superficial thoughts the majority has? Assuming such are somehow fundamentally good

They are fundamentally good by whose definition? The systems? The elites?

Believing that all of these trade-offs for a machine-made society are justified based on the assumption that it would be fundamentally good is ridiculous.

Humans can make wise decisions and have freedom. We have for a while. Transhumanism is not needed.

Think; if machines make all of the decisions, are we truly human? Wouldn't that turn us into cogs in the system, as I've previously explained? And if so, would there be any point to life any more? Wouldn't that be even more superficial than what we have now, or have had before? Why is the ultimate goal having better decisions to "improve society"?

I am just building into the idea of a hypothetical utopia where machines will somehow cater to every human need therefore allowing humans to be free to do what ever in their little cage. But you're right if we actually bring up human nature to this scenario

I get your point, but sadly, technology past a certain point carries more cons than pros, and so the only option we have is to regress it or reach a point of no return.

I don't know honestly. I just think this is the great filter in motion. I really wish to live long enough to see it unfold
