Keto is good if you don't care much about muscle, if you care about muscle then a more traditional cut with high protein and strict calories is more suitable.

You can go keto with high protien. That's not why people lose muscle on keto its because they don't have as much strength an energy for the first 6 weeks since their body is getting fat adapted but they can easily maintain muscle while cutting fat. Losing weight on a trad CICO diet is hard for obese people since they lack self control. a restrictive diet like keto forces you to cook most of your meals and also keeps you full for a very long time aswell as showing quick results making it more motivating. But if OP has the self control to simply "eat less" more power to em

Increase metabolic rate using the bioenergetic approach (eat carbohydrates), keep stress hormones low.

Have only one starch meal that is high in potassium (potatoes) after a workout to benefit from the anabolic effect of insulin. Take aspirin and niacin with this meal, but keep fat low due to randle cycle.

Can watch these videos for better explanation.

Eat all the fatty meat, fish, cheese, etc you want. A high protein high fat diet, minimal carbs if you have remaining space in your stomach. Once a week eat all the carbs you want.
That and excruciating lifting and cardio. All your carbs eaten around workout.

Just keep it simple, don't mix fats with carbs (since the insulin spike may store fat as fat), and eat all your carbs around your workout, don't need to watch any video or know anything else. Eat mostly protein and the fat that comes with it.
