Reconnecting with old friends is so weird

I have this old friend
We were best friends basically from 12-18

Then some shit happened and we lost touch
now we’re trying to reconnect

But it’s so weird since I’m supposed to know him through and through but somehow I have no clue what he’s like anymore.

It’s like he’s a stranger that I haven’t thought about for 2 years

My brain literally has 0 recollection of him.

This basically happens w everyone.
Whenever I don’t speak with someone for a couple weeks, they’re just muted from my brain and I completely forget what/who they are

Guessing it has sum to do with adhd but what the fuck mayne
