Yes fasting aids in a deficit. But fasting has many other benefits other than weightloss. 2 day fast after eating in a surplus is legit.Wont matter if you eat like shit
Fasting will aid a deficient
I could fast for 2 days
Then eat 10.000 calories and gain weight
Done this many times. On top of 3X faster weight loss. You get better autophagy from dry fasting. I would NOT go more than 3 days tho. Fasting in general is like the best thing you can do for your health, even just 1-2 days per week with or without water.Redpill me on day fasting for weight loss
Can I get some sort of quick tldr kf that pathway?Fasting does matter. Research it.

Prolonged Fasting reduces IGF-1/PKA to promote hematopoietic stem cell-based regeneration and reverse immunosuppression
Immune system defects are at the center of aging and a range of diseases. Here we show that prolonged fasting reduces circulating IGF-1 levels and PKA activity in various cell populations, leading to signal transduction changes in long-term hematopoietic ...www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov

Plus when you dry fast, your body still needs a water source so it has to create its own water internally by breaking down body fat into hydrogen molecules and binding with oxygen in the blood to produce water. This water is actually way better for your body.
Good luck
I agree fasting is healthy but it's not magic for weightlossYes fasting aids in a deficit. But fasting has many other benefits other than weightloss. 2 day fast after eating in a surplus is legit.
Fasting is legit for overall health and longevity as well as resetting you're gut (which gets fucked up if u eat shit or you're overeating for example when trying to gain muscle) and being beneficial for overall mental clarity. In terms of weight loss its no better then any diet where you're in a caloric deficitRedpill me on day fasting for weight loss
You can, but I you will rebound with water weight after a dry fast. I like water fasting, which is what i'm on right now.Can I get some sort of quick tldr kf that pathway?
What's that ?
Oh am not muslim

And btw how do you resist thirst, it literally drives me mad

Usually on a water fast, after the first few days of water weight loss, you will drop anywhere from 0.5-1lb (about 0.75lbs/day) fat per day & it slows down the further you get. Some people add electrolytes to their water (potassium, sodium, magnesium) on longer fasts, especially if they are on keto. Very good article, https://www.ketogains.com/2017/06/keto-flu-electrolyte-imbalances/

So if you wanted to lose 20kg, 20kgs is roughly 44 lbs.
44 lbs x 0.75/day = 33 days
If you were going to go 1 month straight, I would add electrolytes. I usually fast 1-2 days/week with water. Or if i'm a bit fat 5-7 days. So I don't usually add electrolytes.
Here's a guy who was severely overweight and didn't eat anything for a year. lost 276lbs, with no added electrolytes
Good luck
Yea just do your research, shit can be dangerous. Don't be dumb, If you feel like you are gonna die, then eat.Holy shit bro thanks for taking the time.
So waterfasting is a better strategy right but takes longer time
Damn how am I gonna not eat anything in 30 days
Do you reccomend intermittent fasting or just a complete fast? Also, can I still keep gaining muscle during fasting?Done this many times. On top of 3X faster weight loss. You get better autophagy from dry fasting. I would NOT go more than 3 days tho. You can't gain muscle on a complete fast lol, your body has no building blocks to work with. Fasting is for weightloss. If you are taking anabolics like testosterone or sarms, you could maintain what you have if you are crazy about every ounce of muscle.Do you reccomend intermittent fasting or just a complete fast? Also, can I still keep gaining muscle during fasting?
Ok thanks for the advice, I used to be skinny asf like 10-11% bf with little muscle a couple months ago but I’ve been eating a lot and now I’m like 14% bf, but wanna go back down to 10% and hopefully not lose all my muscleYou can't gain muscle on a complete fast lol, your body has no buildings to work with. Fasting is for weightloss. If you are taking anabolics like testosterone or sarms, you could maintain what you have if you are crazy about every ounce of muscle.
You might be able to gain on intermittent fast if you cram enough calories for the day into your eating window. But it's not optimal.
If I was trying to gain muscle & get fasting benefits I would just eat 5-6 per week regular and water/dry fast 1-2 days. Repeat
Yeah i will updater if am still alive lolYea just do your research, shit can be dangerous. Don't be dumb, If you feel like you are gonna die, then eat.
