i dont know to be honest, im not that knowledgable around religion

but i think humans created the concept of religion to sort of come to a conclusion with the lack of evidence

when your put on a planet with 0 knowledge of how or why you and are clearly not in a developed society you need to come to a conclusion to your thoughts.

although we cannot physically prove his existence don’t you think it’s ignorant to not believe in it just because we can’t see it?

id argue its not ignorance its epistemology humans generally base belief on evidence, reasoning, and falsifiability if something cannot be proven or disproven then belief becomes a philosophical choice rather than an objective conclusion

youcould say its irrational to dismiss the possibility of god entirely but its equally irrational to claim certainty that god exists without sufficient evidence. hemost logically consistent position is often agnosticism acknowledging that the question may be beyond proof

we also reject countless unprovable claims every day not necessarily because they are false but because there is not enough evidence to justify belief so disbelief alone is not ignorance its just a different standard for what constitutes truth

while it’s true that we cannot physically prove God’s existence with empirical evidence, labeling disbelief as ignorance overlooks the core principles of epistemology and rational inquiry. humans rightly base beliefs on available evidence, logical reasoning, and falsifiability; when a claim is unfalsifiable and lacks sufficient supporting evidence, withholding belief isn’t ignorance—it’s intellectual honesty and a consistent standard we apply to countless other unprovable assertions every day. claiming certainty in god’s existence without compelling evidence is equally irrational as outright dismissing the possibility, which is why agnosticism often represents the most logically consistent position: acknowledging that the question may lie beyond definitive proof. disbelief in the absence of evidence is simply applying the same evidentiary threshold we use elsewhere, rather than a failure to remain open-minded.

Completely agree, I think it was also an early way of enforcing rules. Easy too make people abide by your rules if they believe they will burn for eternity if the disobey them.

God is scary. and he makes ppl bad for no reason. he makes me bad for no reason. I used to have intrusive thoughts while believing and idk why god would make me that way. I also just never can feel love for a being that doesnt exist and a lot of protestant stuff is very love pilled. it also just seems to me that religion has many coincidences that make it seem like a way to control populations rather than actual truth
