If majority of people saw their pic taken with a professional camera with no filters they would be depressed

I only use RAW images

Even then there is some cucked processing which is annoying
in my experience iphone camera looks pretty much the same as the mirror so i guess its the closes thing to real life, very bad phones make you look dogshit if they dont capture lighting good enough

Yea it’s not bad at all (I had a pixel and it was way more annoying).

Only issue is that I have iPhone 14 and you can see it process a little bit, but it is still pretty close to what I see in the mirror. It makes my skin look smoother than it actually is tho. Apparently all iPhone 14s do this for some reason idk why.

Well everyone has a smartphone so assuming it hides the same flaws wouldnt it equal out? That said I think rating candids from videos and candid pics in general from various settings is the most accurate way. Selfies are inherently “inaccurate” because you can take them as much as you’d like whole tinkering with the angle, position, lighting, etc

Iphone camera distort my face too much

I prefer how I look on professional cameras than I do on a phone camera. I've noticed most people do, because phones genuinely do distort your face and give you an unusual colouring, so with a decent photographer, you'll look better on a camera than a phone camera.

If you're using filters? Then obviously you're not going to look better on a camera, because you're coping with filters.

Most normies look like shit on professional cameras cause they cope with filters and angles subconsciously without even realizing (that’s why they make jokes about driver licences pictures looking like shit), but I do concede that you and other looksmaxxers look good because people here who actually commit to looksmaxxing know what they need to do to look good without any filters or angle frauding

Any normie that looks like shit on a professional camera would look even shitter on a phone camera. I read about a photographer from London who hired a really pretty girl from Instagram to shoot some pictures with, when she turned up he was like ''who the hell are you?'' turns out she used FaceTune on all her images, and they very thing he liked about her (freckles, small chin) she didn't have.

I do photography, so I'm pretty good at taking a good picture. But that's true, this website helps a lot when it comes to the little things. I also don't judge people here if they wanna use facetune to clear their skin a bit or add a little angle to the jaw/eyes, because a lot of IG girls literally fraud their entire face. Lighting, angles, facetune etc. It's not the phone camera that makes you look better, it's the copious amount of editing they do haha.

I knew a girl who uploaded herself in the hospital bed after she had just had a baby. This girl literally Facetuned her own face after she had a baby, and she even cleaned the skin of her baby, unreal.

true this is a no-brainer, if you think about it, obviously these phone companies will design their selfie cams to portray faces as flattering as possible, anything else would be bad business

The most hilarious case is when people faceapp their own face on group pictures and upload it to their social media;

the other people on the picture also upload on theirs but on their version the face isnt faceapped, making the fraud obvious

This. I love it. You'll see them edit their own face and leave everyone else's the same, then click on the friends profile, there it is right there.

The worst part is, it makes them instantly look unattractive. If they didn't do it in the first place, you wouldn't really notice all their flaws, but after seeing it with and without faceapp it's staring you right in the face lmao

Notice same thing on my iPhone too, I legit took better selfies on my 6 than my 14

The ai processing washes out my skin a little bit

Not really, I have a pretty solid background in photography and regularly take portraits of people. Most of them look better irl than on unedited pictures. I took portrait shots of my girl a few days ago with perfect exposure, professional camera and portrait lens. Irl she looks 1 point better than in the unedited pics. Edited images are of course a different story.

There used to be a picture of Chestbrah and Jeff that they both uploaded to their IG. Everyone only made themselves more muscular in the uploaded picture and not the other one, hahahaha. Here:

Everyone knows that selfie cameras make your skin look better because of weird processing that makes things like scarring invisible also the resolution just isn’t high enough to capture the fine details of the skin, unless it’s taken under fluorescent or LED lighting that will still cause the camera to either over-expose those flows or hide them. But lense distortion is definitely real especially when it comes to proportions, skull width. Only someone whose boneless would completely deny its existence.

As an example my iPhone 14 pro max selfie camera makes my high cheekbones and square chin nonexistent in most angles and lighting even though they are there. And In some cases it makes my skull narrower, nose slightly bigger compared to my face, and IPD higher than it actually is. But yeah it makes you look better because it hides blackheads and scars :soy::soy: Yeah ok you boneless fucks.

Extend your arm and you’d look same as mirror

My chin looks square in selfies unless taken from 2 inches away

I see so many people uploading their selfies on insta and they look same as real life
