Republican foid burns Quran on camera and gets death threats

No this is false and not the same thing at all, and the Quran itself proves Muslims are commanded to demand more than just let us be.

Quran doesn't treat blasphemy or open disbelief as a personal insult that you just shrug off . It treats it as a direct attack on Allah and the Ummah that must be confronted
some random bitch burning the Quran unprovoked is a different matter. She should know to let them be.. that's an attack to their beliefs and everything they stand for
drawing Muhammad, drinking alcohol openly, eating pork openly criticizing Islam, mocking Muslim practices etc
I've never met a Muslim who cares about someone drinking alcohol openly or eating pork, but I think it's normal for them to be mad if you do things like mock them or whatever the fuck went through the whore's mind when she burned the Quran.
The only things that will anger a Muslim are things that directly attack their religion. I guarantee you nobody cares if someone drinks alcohol in the middle of the street or does other kinds of forbidden shit.
Everything that will incur their wrath can be summarized as "not letting them be" so pretty much insulting their beliefs directly

Why would anyone even want to draw Muhammad? There shouldn't be a conflict of interest here... just let the Muslims be and there won't be any issues lol

Fair enough, you didn't specify so I thought you were talking about Muslims in a general sense

because in their worldview Allah's rules apply to everyone Muslim or not. Refusing to follow them is seen as arrogant rejection of God (kufr) which is by definition offensive and threatening
You're making things up now.

You're free to not pray in Saudi even though not praying is one of the biggest sins. Are you going to claim that my example is null because it only applies to muslims? There are hundreds of laws that Muslims follow where they don't enforce it on others.

And by your standard, why didn't they historically force everyone to convert to their religion? The worshiping of idols is the biggest sin, so surely they would care to fix this by your standard, no?

I also remember music for example. Music is haram, yet Ibn Umar (the son of the caliphate) covered his ears when he walked past it. No notable figure advocates for what you're suggesting.

drawing Muhammad, drinking alcohol openly, eating pork openly criticizing Islam, mocking Muslim practices etc
"Mocking muslim practices" yes, people will get offended if you mock their practices. That is common sense. This applies to any and every religion.

Most people obviously will not take criticizing their religion well either. You're also acting like there aren't tafsirs and just general explanations for every criticism.

Drinking alcohol openly is banned in many places. I've personally never seen anyone care that someone else was eating pork or alcohol openly.

Drawing muhammad is seen as rude to them, yes, but most the death threats are due to the illustrations that are disingenuous. I severely doubt they would do anything if it's a respectful drawing.

You niggas are talking about the moderates reformist Muslims not the hardcore Islamists the kind that put a hit on you for speaking ill or round up a mob to stone someone to death.
So, you're speaking about a small minority that does not follow the religion itself? Find me a single Salafi scholar who advocates for what you're saying. Ibn baz, Al-Albani, Ibn-Uthaymeen, etc all reject violence against non muslims.

No the Quran and classical sharia don’t treat blasphemy as mere mockery you shrug off. Insulting the Prophet is a capital offense for Muslims and non Muslims alike in all four madhhabs and every major Salafi scholar I bn Baz, Ibn Uthaymeen, the Permanent Committee all explicitly ruled the blasphemer kafir is to be killed no exception. I remember reading about all this. Here i googled a few

Ibn Baz (Majmu' Fatawa 4/440): "Whoever insults the Prophet, Muslim or kāfir, must be killed."

Al-Mardawi (Hanbali, al-Insaf 10/336): "A zimmi is killed if he mentions the Prophet with insult or openly displays wine, pork, or idols.

The “chill Muslims” are the ones ignoring those texts not the angry ones following them.

banning public alcohol, crosses, church bells, idol worship, drawings of Muhammad was always the rule under sharia the only reason you don’t see it everywhere today is weakness or secular law, not because the sources changed. Your Saudi prayer example is also cope. I remember reading somewhere they it gets you lashes or and the relaxed attitude you describe is the cultural exception and globalization.

The thing is that's a vocal minority imo, most people are moderate
