This is how they proved it. Any simulation runs on algorithms (programmed rules). Our universe contains non-algorithmic truths like Gödel's Incompleteness that no computer can compute.

The computational power required to simulate the universe would violate known physics. The computer running the program would need to be larger than the universe itself and the final layer of reality requires non algorithmic understanding and the only thing capable of that level of absurdity and chaos is the human mind. Dam, i always considered it to be a heavy possibilty

what do u think is the most likely explanation for how its possible that we exist then?

I am too low iq for these kind of open ended questions.

:feelswat: nah yo its not a simulation but we're in planet 0 which is the lowest form but theres millions of other planets and after we die we go to the lobby

It's still possible for the universe to be an immaterial simulation - of a mind, which does not need to be algorithmic

Thinking in general isn't algorithmic, contrary to the common perception. Only a certain aspect of thinking is discursive & algorithmic

I'm not the smartest person, but if we were to live in a simulation...computing power wont be the problem, the power it has will be beyond our imagination...cause it created us/the simulation

Any simulation runs on algorithms (programmed rules).
This is where I'd stress test it, because the people who programmed us could be following different rules than rules in our observable universe, in fact their rules would supposedly be more sophisticated than ours because we're in the sandbox, not them.

Nice findings though, thanks for sharing.

My life could easily be a simulation and you could just be an npc
Basically like a dream
All I know is my own reality. You may have no thoughts at all
The idea that we’re all living in a simulation isn’t what we mean by “life is a simulation”

Pretty sure some nigga on reddit killed himself because he was paranoid about this

That's kinda cool but how should I change my life in response to this information.

Well this still isn't proof because if technology keeps evolving and we can get orders of magnitude more efficient machines then it would probably invalidate this study.

I mean after all you can find studies that say being vegan or bald is ideal when we know that's not reality.

So unless they accounted somehow for that then no one knows what's possible in 100 years. They already made batteries that last 50 years but aren't mass produced. Same thing might happen to CPU gpu etc etc.

Nothing matters anyway on the cosmic scale, we at least 'kinda' know what women (really) want :blackpill:

What if thats part of the simulation though

They'd be operating outside the known rules of the universe and exist outside of it because it's all holographic waveform information.

It's simulated by conciousness

Looks like years of evolution preferred intelligence so likely there's some possibility but it won't occur as nature is random especially at quantum levels
