Well yes, they arent mutually exclusive. However, many people who mouth breathe will have both a recessed chin and a recessed maxilla

depends a lot on how frequently u mouth breathed, how ur posture was exactly (neck posture affects chin i believe) and of course genetics. my dad was a mouth breather and still has normal occlusion however is maxilla is very recessed bc of it
