Retinol o tretionin

I want to get rid of my acne and am planning to buy a 0.1% retinol gel from a supplier, but I don't know the difference between tretinoin and retinol, or which one is better. Honestly, I can't find tretinoin anywhere other than Indiamart

tretinoin is prescription only and a lot stronger. I’d recommend it over retinol.

imo you should work up to daily use of retinoid/retinol before hopping on to stronger tret or tazarotene

I have a tube of tret .05 but even applying it every 3 days raped my skin barrier. I've just been using adalapene daily and it's been better albiet much slower I'd imagine

tret is stronger and use from lower conc
its is better than retinol cause tret is pure retinoic acid and has higher binding affinity to retinoic acid receptor
