The whole episodes story is always so random and it has even many disgusting elements most of the time.

But worst thing is that it has no constant storyline somehow.

The thing about Weekly shows, I'm not expecting god tier quality on everything. I just want a decent visual and I'm not trying to wait 2 years for 20 episodes. There are SOME shows that work well with that format, some don't.

DBS is fire and the potential is amazing. HxH is the perfect dark-shounen.

you're looking at Dragonball through the wrong lens, Dragonball has always been about surpassing limits it doesn't need to be overly complex or convoluted. It does exactly what a good shounen is supposed to do while still being casually accessible.

Nah, anime is more focused on the fights, avatar doesn't drag its story and is better written than most anime. Japanese humor is also kinda soy. Anime excels better at fight scenes, and sometimes they don't animate the facial expressions.

Avatar got most of it's sensibilities from anime, and it's story is a caricature of shounen and folklore stories. Anime have longer stories in more grand worlds so of course they're longer.

Problem with anime that are longer, is that they tend to drag or mess up the story with what they intended in the first place. Avatar does worldbuilding pretty well, in 61 episodes we can feel the world in such a short time it's well written. Show don't tell, and anime tends to do alot of exposition.

They have to put new ideas every week, and the problem with that is that the author is killing himself without rest, and also the creativity will be lacking, they have to think of new ideas every week instead of months the quality of the story will go down and it's bad for both the viewers and the author since quality stories will live forever.
