RU-58841 vs Dutasterine vs Finasteride

this is kinda true, that's why you need both for a comprehensive approach.

Also he's kinda wrong, as not only DHT but also testosterone can rape your hair, tho its potency at the AReceptor level is prolly like 5x less (idk the actual number but it's less)

But you WILL lose hair on 0 DHT but (normal + non converted testosterone) levels of testosterone, if you have the genetic predisposition and shit hair genetics.
That's why you need RU to block the testosterone. (tho ru supposedly might lose efficacy at doing so over time, not sure).
thanks man

Engineers get MEngs or MSc specialisations post-BEng. If an engineer has only a BEng from a boring uni, no one will care, it’s not impressive. There’s a reason I opted for MEng specialisation, I was told specifically on the plant I best do it or end up in finance somewhere because of uni halo.

I must say I do have nepo specifically in eng, but not my specialisation in particular
Engineering is a trash degree too
They’re all trash
If you wanna be an engineer, it’s better to just armed forces maxx and do it through that route

Engineering is just what people pick thinking it’s great, when the reality is bachelors degrees are worthless
in my country doing a bachelor of engineeering and not doing a full 5 years of university is impossible. You wont get the title of engineer.
And i think it's ridiculous to call yourself an engineer after only 3(?) years for a bachelor.

Masters degrees are not exclusive to engineering
Just phd maxx bro!

We call that a “chartered engineer”. An MEng basically cuts the work experience requirement down by like a decade or two. An engineer with a BEng is really not an engineer, I agree

Some guys here have very funny PhDs, gotta love a drcel in some bullshit like homosexual gorilla neurochemistry

I love the way 3 people jfl reacted to this when it’s correct
Work experience will always trump a degree
Most people don’t want to join the army/navy/air force, but the fact that doing so through the engineering pathway will lend far greater to your career in “engineering” than being churned out of a uni like a bunch of other surplus droids, is undeniable

I will not let the fact you just grouped “engineering” next to “history” slide. You have declared war on imontheloose and his legion of supporters.

Latter points are true as well, but your degree is also the problem, inky boy. Even physics is versatile enough to do some random computing jobs or something. Most jobs at NLW will probably require a basic degree, I agree, but that’s bc @Jason Voorhees people have made it so every kebab vendor has a civil engineering degree.

through the engineering pathway
This is not as easy as you think. They want MEngs. A guy I worked with did an apprenticeship in engineering instead and he got paid less than us and was far less respected. You’re thinking of the engineering bums that came out of Liverpool with ya with nothing valuable to their name, only a BEng

This is cope
Going into the army at 18 and joining as an engineer (no degree required), working there for a few years, and then leaving, will leave you with far better opportunities than a 4 year degree, along with way too many others who also have that degree. Sunk cost fallacy tho

Southampton anyway, not Liverpool

Sunk cost for me, yes. I’m not saying this is better myself, I come from a family of engineers, the army route is not a respected or reliable way to get engineering jobs. You can work on the plant, no problem, but you won’t have a high paying job in design at all.

You can go into the army part-time while at uni. Employers don’t care about how unique you are in that regard. They see you can’t design but you can do plant work well (it’s better paying than your jobs but not what most want in life).

Alongside your degree, you need to be working or doing some sort of internship, even volunteering, otherwise it’s over.

This is what I said earlier
But you’re not blackpilled on uni. Tbh I think the ONLY degrees worth studying are medicine or veterinary medicine, if u don’t mind studying a long time. Shame I didn’t do a level chem, or I may have done vet medicine. Wouldn’t have maximised the opportunity anyway tbh

What are y’all’s thought on the current market for engineers in healthcare ? Like biomed engineer
In my country it feels like entry salaries are lower but the industry is really stable.

why my thread became a job topic 😭😭😭😭

Its way more than 5x androgenic in human hair follicles, that 5x figure is about how much more it stimulates an ar, molecule for molecule but doesnt take into account that dht is about atleast in vitro 10x stronger at causing gene expression of the genes that more directly causes hairloss like mmp's tgf etc so its more like 50x when you add them together
