Because of projected canine fossa
BUt that not the end of the story if you have deep canine fossa you get this backwards shadowing, and if you have shallow anterior projected canine fossa, you get full hollow cheeks. Shown by these two pictures 2nd deep fossa

How does one achieve this…? afaik removal of fat in the buccal fat and malar region is the most effective way?

Buccal fat removal surgery and DIY aqualyx to midface would be the only way got do this? Or am I wrong?

going off this, I guess anterior zygo filler/implants and then gonial filler/implants. Ofc low bodyfat being a prerequisite, fat dissolvers maybe necessary if you genetically store alot in ur face

That has nothing to do with hollow checks 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
youre mentally challenged.

zygomatics + mandibular body give the perception of having hollow cheeks.

take a look at what i just made.
ofc its drawn extremely but thats to make it easier to see.

the outer edge of the mandibular body is decided by; chin width (inter mentaltubercle width), outer edge of the gonions and the angle of how the ramus travels down from the temporal process of the zygomatics to the gonions.

chin:

here you see the wide vs thin chin, the wider the chin the more of the mandibular body's edge is protruded from the cheeks.

The yellow represents what i mean with the outer edge of the mandibular body.

e.g the reason that his hollows look like this is because of the fact that his mandibular outer edge is parrallel to his outer buccal/cheeks but hes probably also activating his masseters therefore making the soft tissue extend out more on that part of the face, therefore that strong line going from gonion to the zygomaticofacial foramen.

but i also want to mention that the zygomaticofacial foramen together with the zygomatic process of the maxilla largely decides how your OG line travels, the OG curve often follows the zygomatic minor combined with teh zygomatic major whilst traveling down the to buccinators.

TLDR: you need outward/projected zygo and gonions compared to your cheeks whilst having a wide chin.

@thecel thoughts? i just made this from sketch, ive never really thought about this to much but this seemed the most logical.
im probably correct abt the zygomaticus x mandibular part but not quite sure about the soft tissue and OG curve yet.
