Scared shitless of decompensation braces for Bimax

All posts in reddit I see are just brutal fearmongering how they hate their life now and that they don't even want to go outside.
Initially, I thought decomp ain't gonna be nothing bad, I'll just chill with braces for a year and that's it. But now I'm fucking mentally preparing for it to absolutely destroy me both aesthetically and mentally for 1.5 years. + I need premolar extractions too (which aint that bad for decompensation but still, adds salt to the wound).

My teeth rn are close to perfect, which means that I'll look much worse during decomp. FUCK. I'll still do it but fuck me I'm literally preparing for 1.5 years of depression.

Also I'm having another consultation with my maxfac surgeon in like 9 days, I'll see if I can just get away with lefort 1. My lower jaw is good.

I just worked my ass off for buccal fat removal, got really lean, I'm not 100% happy but way less unhappy and more secure with my looks, puffy face is not my insecurity anymore, and now I have to turn into a fucking shrek for 1.5 years all of a sudden.

Perfect bite TEETH wise. My teeth have compensated and look good. My jaws are off though, my maxilla is recessed, sorry for shitty wording.

lol my maxilla is well developed but not my mandible so to compensate my incisors tip inward which messes up lip support, I think decomp for me will actually help and make my maxilla look even more developed

Ur lower third looks better usually during cos more mentolabial fold also u can jutt. From my experience.

I mean depends on how straight you teeth are relative to the bone, sometimes its not needed

depends on how recessed your upper jaw relative to lower jaw is. if ur 2-3mm upper jaw short but 15mm lower jaw, decomp is needed

At the time I got my braces for decomp I was with my ex, gave a teen look + I was younger than her but she didn’t care

Then even as a single guy with braces I was able to slay older girls.

Braces don’t really matter it was never about the braces or the small movements from decomp.
