Septoplasty day 6 post OP - Splints removed

Holy fuck.

I finally get to say it was all worth it. It's been 6 days and today they removed the nasal splints.

Just no words. I can breathe like a normal person now, all my life I've been waiting for this. It's literally insane to feel the difference, it's like I can smell colors now. It honestly made me emotional knowing I was missing out all this time.

If you have a deviated septum, book a septoplasty NOW! This shit will change your life. Don't worry about bullshit like empty nose syndrome that 1 in the 100 ppl get from shitty surgeons.

Just a heads up bro I've had a septo like 2 years ago and have had a bit of relapse. Still an improvement, but I felt like my breathing was a lot better shortly after surgery than it is now. Not to shit on your parade just my experience. Hope for your sake it stays good.

dont have deviated septum and i would trade the sense of smell for anything tbh its useless i use it

I'm so sad to hear! I did hear about relapses being a thing, my roommate who got one 1 week before me said it should be the best after 3 months.

A broken/uneven nose cartilage. I always had it like this and broke it once during MMA.
