is sertraline good for social anxiety and confidence
or should i take pregab or something else

Sertraline is basically a long term emotional mute button that stops you from panicking, but Pregabalin is the actual "social cheat code" that makes you want to talk to everyone just don't get hooked on it, or you'll trade your social anxiety for a permanent brain fog that makes you look like a total zombie.

do you reccomend i use both or which one?

it has helped me with panicattacks and also made me more outgoing, hella risk for side effects though be careful, if you just want something temporary pregab/beta blockers would do you good

Stick to Pregabalin for the occasional social warrior without the chemical castration of an SSRI, but if you're actually looking for a permanent fix, Sertraline is the slow burn play that trades your personality for peace of mind. Just my opinion.

nothing that I am aware of really, I felt like dogshit the first week though but that faded when my body adapted to it, just like having the flu or sum basically

but only take it if you actually have problems, only go this route if ur life is getting ruined from it, if not get something less extreme

im pretty sure pregab is max like 1-2x week you gain tolerance fast, but I might mix it up with sum else. you wont get personallity change from setraline unless ur some 0.001%

try betablockers maybe they are very effective on you, I use them myself when needed

Taking Pregabalin daily just masks the fear until you're physically hooked and cognitively "slowed," while Sertraline's "fix" often involves an emotional flatlining that kills your witty edge and drive, effectively trading your social anxiety for a bland, unreactive indifference.

so sertraline makes you not scared but kinda neutral like not excited or outgoing either? i thought its supposed to increase serotonin and boost your mood so i thought it would help you be more confident and stuff

i was thinking of taking propranolol but my problem is mainly mental anxiety not like shaking and racing heart and stuff

fearmongering but yes it can happen its a very powerful drug both good and bad, I don't personally have it and I am also on DUT that could also affect ED but im literally the same on both drugs:lul:

it's really depending on the person, I myself also don't have this kind of killed emotion shit at most ive a few less panicattacks but I still have my moments. Exposure therapy is also really helpful if ur anxiety is limiting you, "just go there bro" does help but I know its not that easy. Your doctor will moniture you very heavily if you do get SSRIs just to make sure it works out well for you.

You could try promethazine/atarax if you don't want something that you commit urself to daily theres also benzos but idk if id recommend that, they do work but the addiction part is very dangerous

hows it embarrassing bro cmon now just be open to them about it, and no its not dangerous but if you have a bad source for it then maybe. The thing is you never know how youll respond to the drug until you actually try it so, thats why an actual doctor could help you to either fix the dosage, switch to a diff kind of SSRI anything like that really. But first and foremost you gotta research the SSRIs so u know what ur getting urself into.

Sup bro
I had a medical appointment the year before last year regarding the severe anxiety I had been suffering from. Very intelligent medic and expensive appointment. He prescribed me Sertraline (for continuous use) +Pregab (for immediate action when I felt too overwhelmed - it's not to take daily). So I personally used both.
