This is only true if you just have cold or luke warm showers. I personally like to have hot showers to stimulate blood flow to my hair follicles, the side effect of this is that it results in increased sebum production which tends to leave the top part of my head looking too greasy. To combat this I use a thin layer of silicone/sulfate/paraben/ethanol free moisturizing shampoo on my roots every other day.Dont use it at all, it takes out the oil from your hair and leaves it light and fluffy. Looks like absolute dogshit. It takes between a few days and a week for your hair to regain the oil that makes it look vibrant and thick, but if you want to speed this up you can add coconut oil. When your hair is too oily just rinse it with water and comb it to the scalp.
