Not in Dagestan, most ethnicities in Dagestan are Suni. Only chechens are sufi. And tatars brutally outmog all other Muslim groups in Russ in terms of population, and tatars are suni. Bashkirs suni as well. So overall most Muslims in Russia are suni by far.
Some groups in Dagestan like lezghin are shia as well

Chechenya or ingushetia has enough resources like Gold and more its not allowed for them to dig

There is a really big forest in ingushetia and alot gold and more stuff but if russian army finds you there in the forest, they will find a reason to put you in prison and beat you up really bad. Also this is a reason why ingushetia is so poor no freedom
