Depends how bad your hair is. If it's only slightly curled you can probably straighten it at home with some keratin treatment. If it's rather curly/somewhat kinky you can probably get a brazilian blowout. If it's sheep coat-tier hair then you're probably going to have to silk press. Watch some black women hair tutorials because there's a bunch floating around, a lot of them show how to style with volume too which is an added plus.
