Flush away the moment it touches the water.

When you shit your shit starts decomposing and its participles float up and spread the shitsmell.

Flushing everything before any participle floats up ensures there won't be any leftover shit air. Ideally you'd clean your ass as fast as you can and flush all again

Very useful if you're shitting at other people's house
