I think you are mixing stuff. Alfaro's paper is for anterior area piriform. The other paper seems different is to clear posterior intererferences in pterygoid. Both are relevant for Lefort I impaction but not the same. Also I don't see how this is related to C-curl lip lift, other than general relationships between the areas being affected (maxila vertical positioning, midface lenght, philtrum lenght, paranasal support).
