My teeth are somewhat uneven, and I think braces for like a month or two could probably fix all my issues. It's mild, but I feel it could be messing up my bite and causing asymmetry down the line.

braces is orto cope you need some mewing babyboy

You should ask yourself why your teeth are uneven, and the answer is always incorrect tongue posture and incorrect swallowing. Braces only treat the symptoms, not the cause.

It's not because of incorrect posture though. I think it's because I broke one of my central incisors and then put in fake teeth and for some reason it hasn't fixed itself.

They would've been fine if I didn't break one of my central incisors at age 7 jfl

Besides, wouldn't treating the symptoms THEN mewing be a good choice?

Will mewing bring my teeth back in their normal position?

braces are fine i had them and am not recessed. i think they are only bad if you need rubber bands or extractions also some of the people saying they're bad are just coping blaming their subhuman genetics on braces

Short answer: no, they shouldn't be avoided at all costs.

Make sure you and your orthodontist are in agreement. State clearly what your expectations are and if they can meet them: no pushing your teeth backwards, not making your palate smaller. Expansion to create better conditions for forward growth...

Also dont stay with those braces till forever because at some point they will just be preventing your jaws from further developing properly.

You need one or multiple consultations, plus post online to see what your diagnostic is and what you need and the choices you have to do so.
