Make a lot of money throughout your lifetime but sacrifice your prime years (medical doctor) OR
Make a of money faster but less during your lifetime (engineer)

In other words, should I become an engineer or medical doctor for a career?

Engineer is way better LMAO, because most successful CEO's don't have buisness management degrees but engineering degrees due to the fact they can think in or of systems easier compared to ordinary people. just remember getting rich isn't about discipline or mentality, it's about optimizing your environment and creating systems to increase that chances of u getting rich.

Yeah, you're right. This actually reminds me of a clip from Dave Ramsey where he said engineers (#1) was top 5 careers of millionaires. 👍

yeah, you can go for applied math as well. more theoretical if you dgaf about things like materials and other shit, which you won't use in your career anyways unless you wanna do like legit engineering and not use your engineering/applied math degree to pivot to something else like data science or soft eng. coding is really important, especially at the start of your career, which pure math/physics courses usually don't cover in sufficient breadth. math + coding will get you hella far tho, optimal stack. java/c++ and python alongside undergrad math

you might want to also switch to linux (try fedora or arch/gentoo if youre feeling like going more in-depth), this will help you understand tools that can be useful in any field where you come in contact with servers. its also hella fun and way cooler than windows

Yeah, I’m going for data science right now but I’m having doubts of not going to medical school

Depends what u love to do / can do
It's about what u enjoy what do you do or not

If u enjoy your work it won't be work so you will be better than anyone else= make more money

Doctor, most engineers are finished with ai and are just coping thinking they’ll « adapt » the golden years of the silicon valley rich engineers are behind us

Makes sense, I've always enjoyed sports medicine. Data Science coding, which I'm doing right now, not so much. I guess I'll do what the other user said and give it a 1 year then switch if I'm not feeling it.
