Should I do Marpe

I feel like my mouth and smile are a bit narrow especially my mouth width which falls very short of my IPD when it should be 1:1 ideally. Would Marpe help to ascend mouth width or is it just palate and smile not lip width? Anyone who is knowledgeable knows Marpe please let me know

side note: I know my hair is cooked and homeless looking I had surgery 2 months ago and have been LDARing since due to recovery

Mouth width should not be 1:1 of ipd that is a myth, most male models don’t have that

It would widen ur lips depending on the amount of expansion. Keep in mind that there's shit you'll have to take care of after tho.

1. It could drop your maxilla a bit and give you a slight gummy smile, requiring braces to pull the top teeth up (braces/aligners would be needed anyway), or jaw surgery if braces isnt enough. Since you want lip widening, that means you're likely going to have to do "more" expansion, and more expansion means more dropping. So whether you'll need jaw surgery or not, idk. but the potential is there.

2. It will also widen your nose, although slightly less than your lips, but still potentially requiring something to be done, like alarplasty

Your mouth width is alright. I've measured some male models and they had about 75-85% mouth width to IPD ratio. You have 77.5%. Wider would still suit you tho. Below is with 83%

MARPE in your case is not the highest ROI, nor 'do or die', but if I were you I would probably do it (not a recommendation for or against, just what I would personally do - up to you at the end of the day...your hardmaxxing journey).

edit: actually nah I wouldnt, too low roi. Unless you have breathing issues
