I don't think weight loss needs to be complicated. It's 3 steps:

• Calculate your caloric maintenance
• Eat in a way that makes you lose 1% bodyweight per week
• Weigh yourself daily and if you aren't losing enough or you lose too much, adjust accordingly

That's it.
