It takes lot longer than that boyo. Use for atleast 6 months. And switch to tazorac tbhIve been on tretinoin 0.5% for 5 days now i dont see any changes on my skin
How about accutane? How fast does it give results? It takes lot longer than that boyo. Use for atleast 6 months
Many report clear or nearly clear skin after 4-6 months. I would just stick to tretinoin for now, but accutane is better for sure. Your acne is not that severe, so tretinoin should be able to fix it.How about accutane? How fast does it give results?
How is accutane better if they both fix acne in the same length of time? Many report clear or nearly clear skin after 4-6 months. I would just stick to tretinoin for now, but accutane is better for sure. Your acne is not that severe, so tretinoin should be able to fix it for sure.
Accutane and tretinoin both increase cell turnover and lessen inflammation, accutane targets all ways of acne originates tho. Accutane shuts down oil production, while tretinoin does not really have the same effects. Accutane is also directly bactericidal to the bacteria that are responsible for acne. How is accutane better if they both fix acne in the same length of time?
mm got it so basically accutane lasts longer but has more side affects then tret. I apply my tret before sleep every night do you think thats enough dosage?Accutane and tretinoin both increase cell turnover and lessen inflammation, accutane targets all ways of acne originates tho. And on accutane, longer and prolonged treatment courses produce lasting effects even after accutane is stopped. Tretinoin only works while it is actually being used.
Its not that tretinoin is not "strong enough", it just does not affect overproduction of sebum or produce an antibacterial effect. So if tretinoin doesnt work for u, then switch to accutane and if it works, then you simpky needed it to work on those two factors, which tretinoin does not work for.
That being said, tretinoin doesnt have that severe side effects and ur acne isnt bad. Just stick to tret and remember to spam sunscreen and dont overdo tretinoin or ur skin barrier will get nuked. That happened to me.
Start with three times per week, then after a month/two months switch to every other night and after that one and a half/two months switch to every night, that worked for me personally. At the start every night is a bit much, with tretinoin its "less = more". How much are u applying it?mm got it so basically accutane lasts longer but has more side affects then tret. i apply as big as the tip of my index finger on both sidesStart with three times per week, then after a month/two months switch to every other night and after that one and a half/two months switch to every night, that worked for me personally.
