Should I keep doing this?

Since I was 10 or 11, whenever I would pick dimes and pennies off the ground, my dad would say that I should keep my money in a piggy bank. I'm now 13 and I have about 12 dollars. I don't get raises or anything like that. Should I keep doing this? The only reason I'm thinking about ending this is because it's slow
