just skip to bold text if u wanna give general answer since my situation is pretty general

ive been on 20mg accutane for a few months now, however i had the acne for months before that and my derma appointment got fucking cancelled so i was left with some scars bc i couldnt get what i NEEDED 2 months earlier even though i have crypto and couldve easily bought it online but im a pussy JFL:lul:  i was too focused on other looksmaxxes when i shouldve been focused on escaping a potential falio (getting on accutane)

good news is that i have no active acne now, sometimes i have like 1 pimple or whatever and backne so im js trying to eliminate it all before i stop accutane, i plan to finish accutane next month :D

anyways i have a dr pen and have microneedled with it before about a month ago, using 2mm depth for targetting the acne scars (less for other areas bc i only have scarring on some parts of cheeks) however I have seen conflicting info online about whether or not microneedling can cause actual SCARRING to your skin if you are on isotretinoin/accutane, personally for me I didnt see any visible scarring when I did it but obviously im sure people on here have more experience with acne scars and stuff of that matter, so should I keep microneedling at moderate depth (1.5-2mm) while on 20mg accutane?

last month at august i started microneedling with a derma pen, 1.5mm

i used tret at the same time, my mom commented on my scars healing and having less spots, i just need 3-4 more sessions, spaced 2-3 weeks

i had no problems and only received benefits

Same situation I’m on 20mg I need to fix my scars. I will probably end up waiting at this point cuz I don’t want to fuck shit up even more but at the same time I’m desperate to get rid of these fucking scars from hell.

Yeah personally im gonna wait a month they say it should be at least 6 but fuck my derma

Your skin is way more fragile, dont do it. I would just add ghk-cu or something else

NO. Its gonna hurt like hell and probably cause a ton of hyperpigmentation. Also it might not heal properly afterwards. Also depending on the scarring you could probably just use topicals.

If you really wanna do it i would do .5mm just more often depending on how your tolerate it.

Google:

The elimination half-life of isotretinoin is approximately 18 to 21 hours in adults. However, isotretinoin has a major active metabolite, 4-oxo-isotretinoin, with a longer half-life of about 38 hours

This isn’t the full story though, I’m pretty sure isotretinoin binds to fat receptors which makes it stay in the body for at least 1 month. I may get back to u on this if I do some research but I’m lowk not gonna bother researching this more till I’m off accutane.

Also a bunch of studies say that it’s safe to microneedle on accutane but I won’t be risking it personally till I actually read the studies.

i would go to a derm for that sort of question, also i heard that professional chemical peels help with that.

Microbeedeling will make it worse bc wound healing is SEVERLY worsens while on Accutane u also notice it with bruises and shit like that, takes way longer to heal even if it’s on your arm, leg ect
