This is probably my hardest post on here icl
Basically ever since I was 14 I went to the gym but I focused on powerlifting like squat bench and deadlift. Over time I quit deadlifting and I quit benching recently as well because I just have no time in my day to keep doing it. My best lift was squat, I did 455 lbs at 170 pounds bodyweight at 17. My plan was to squat 500 lbs at 18 natural.
However I am also applying to college and I grew up mentally. I realized looks matter way fucking more than however much someone can lift and I know there’s a lot of shit lifting such heavy weight can do to you it’s unhealthy and not optimal for looks but I loved doing it for a time.
I’m not sure whether or not this is a good idea. I am leaning towards quitting but I’m not against keeping going. My priorities changed but I’ve been training and shit for so long it just feels wrong to quit strength training.
I know looks matter wayyyyy fucking more and simply working out for aesthetics are law but I am still conflicted over this decision.
