Need some brutally honest opinions on this one.
I’ve been thinking about texting an old situationship after a long time without talking. I’m not trying to dump my feelings on her or immediately get her back. I’d literally just be checking in and seeing where things are at.
This is what I’m thinking of sending:
> “Heyy it’s been a while haha. The other day I thought about you and some of the things you used to tell me, and I felt like checking in to see how you’re doing. Hope you’re doing well and that everything’s going great for you”
My concern is that it might come across as way more emotionally invested than I think it does.
Is this actually a normal, low-pressure opener, or am I just coping because I want an excuse to text her?
Would you send this as is, make it shorter, or just take the L and stay silent?
What’s the play here?
