Should I study abroad a semester in Japan China or some EU country?

My Uni is letting me pick Japan China or EU (Germany France ect...) I think I will go with Japan

China could be interesting but I'm worried I would get home sick Japan has a lot of Western people in cities like Toyko so it wouldn't be completely alien but China would be like an alien country they even have a separate internet

USA can't dox my Uni but they basically have a program where they trade you with a foreigner you take some online classes and just are at a Japanese University for 6 months.

i didnt look at it from a smv perspective. i personally like japanese culture fan more and i can understand the language better hence why id go there instead of china, even though im a huge fan of china.

In China it is more of a niche to be white (you can get acting jobs that pay good for being white). Cities like Shanghai have 70 million people in the region and the ratio of Whites to Chinese is so dramatically low you stick out everywhere you go.

I think in Japan there are still a lot of regular Westerners for business so not like you would be that weird

Yeah China seems like it would be super alienating. At least in Japan there are Western things and most cities like Toyko have a few thousand expats. China would be very alienating I imagine but if I had good Mandarin maybe not?

If you have 4 grand laying around you can go next year for a month or 2.

Biggest exense is the plane trip cost of living is decent for megacities you can survive of 1-2 grand a month

Northern Europe is boring, people are more reserved and the weather often sucks, if ur living there for a short time better to make the best of it in a low inhib country like Spain/Italy/Portugal/Greece

i think even though china would be super alienating as a foreigner that i still would feel at home in a way because my country (pakistan) and china enjoy good a political relationship, they are our iron brothers as we say about each other. however i havent learned any mandarin nor can i read any, its too complicated. i did teach myself some japanese but still cant formulate sentences but i can read one of the alphabets (hiragana) and picked up some kanji along the way (kanji is basically chinese characters)

Idk I'm not a party person I guess Spain could be cool (I'm going to Colombia to party) so my Spanish is decent
