Should i take the risk of Radiesse instead of hyaluronic acid filler?

My surgeon said Radiesse will provide a better result on cheekbones compared to hyaluronic acid. Less water attraction, more collagen boost, sharper lines and longer duration. Still the risk is that its not possible to dissolve if i dont like the result or a vascular/arterial occlusion happens. So the risk of blindness is a lot higher.

Should i still give it a try?

Sharper lines while injected on the bone? How do you imagine this??? Sounds like some commercial
Longer duration is arguable: it is one year, while Voluma lasts 2 for 44% of people, proven in a study
Collagen boost is given by HA filler too, and this TBH sounds like some kind of commercial gimmick

Less water attraction is probably true, so it is easier to add EXACTLY the required amount of product: fewer over-inflated faces with Radiesse. But well, if you can dissolve the HA filler, then there is no point in this benefit, except a more efficient use of money

TBH it all sounds like your particular surgeon is just experienced with Radiesse, and does not want to use sth like Voluma, which he is less experienced with

IIrc migration is worse and they can't be dissolved like HA

do what your surgeon reccomends, be conservative with amounts and you'll be fine

Both would get injected below muscles/soft tissue straight on the bone. So migration should not be that much like lips or other superficial filler.

Would probably stick to HA-fillers.
Restylane lyft as an example gives very sharp results and lasts a year, also you can get it dissolved at anytime if you dont like it, which makes filler so powerful if you don’t have Midface hypoplasia.
