Should i wear my retainers everyday?

Im 16 and have had retainers now for a year. I was wondering if I should be wearing my retainers? I occasionally wear them at night and notice that I look different when not wearing the retainers. My mandible goes slightly forward I dont know if its placebo or if something is genuinely happening. Should I be wearing them everyday at night or even longer than that throughout the day?

At 16, you should still be wearing your retainers nightly. After the first year most orthodontists recommend long-term night-time wear to prevent relapse, as teeth can continue to shift during growth. Daytime wear is usually unnecessary unless advised for a specific reason.
