TL;DR I wanna hardmaxx soon to enjoy last year at uni since I wasted 3 years as a full mancave dweller, but cant get the money fast enough, should I withdraw from my long term savings account?

1/3 hardmaxxes done, next ones around 5k. My work term is ending soon and I am about to return to school for my last year. Ive been a full mancave dweller so I want this last year to COUNT and i wanna enjoy it with one more hardmaxx, but my parents are making me pay rent and I cant make enough money until then cus my next job lined up is after schools done. I can withdraw part of the surgery fund from my long term investing account I got like 7k in there, but I’m 21 and dunno if its worth cus long term compounding interest.

Up to you but think of it this way

We have at best our teens 20s and perhaps some of 30s to enjoy prime / prime-adjacent looks

Vs till 60s+ to accumulate a large enough portfolio to retire

Therefore it makes sense to prioritize hardmaxxing while still young. Looks matter for life ofc but it matters more in your youth

Most men excluding LL for manlets probably only need at most 30-50k to fix up their face to the point of diminishing returns

Vs 100s of thousands if not millions to retire

So imo hardmaxx in your 20s with your first couple 10s of thousands then switch to FIRE investing once done

Just don’t be a dumb dumb and rush into a situation where you blow literally all ur savings in one procedure. Things can and will go wrong so you must have a buffer

Yea I agreed with what's said here. Realistically OP has like 10-14 more years to have the looks matter a lot. That's quite a lot of time. Not to mention that looks still matter after that though to a lesser degree

The savings can come later. Most 21 year olds are using their money on things much more stupid than this anyways

Just be smart with the money you do spend now

Yeah word, for sure will be keeping some breathing room. Gotta run the numbers with Murphy’s law in mind when touching savings.

IMO those friends you'll make at uni and the memories you'll have from ascending far outweigh the money itself. I'm going into my second year of uni and deadass only left my room during the first year to go to work and it's just misereable, once you start working it'll be even harder to make new friends and the years will start flying by.

Also your parents making you pay rent is some jew shit, like you could graduate with thousands in your savings instead.

well what surgeries in specific?
