Targets your glutes which is attractive to women, but would it make your hips too wide?

Yes and it won't make your hips too wide lmao. It's just overall good for mind muscle connection for other big lifts and helps stretch those areas out before said lifts

deadlifts/sprints/squats will give you juicy glutes no need to fuck around with thot exercises

Would it make you less aesthetic?

if u want a real answer i dont think they would have any effect on aesthetics. couple of reasons for this:

1) if you are already in the gym and squatting/lunging as you should be, you should be able to move significant amt of weight on these machines already. any use for these machines would be purely for stretching purposes as the amount of muscle growth you will get off these will be minimal compared to the rest of your lifts
2) hip abductors will primarily work out the front of your hips, below your waist--i think its called the tfl or something. these are not inherently huge muscles and you will not see a major change from isolating these.
3) they are less effective than cable abductors and chicks use those to "tone" their ass so what do you really want

You can absolutely add noticeable mass with these exercises. When I used to practice personal training I helped a number of females get wider hips by utilizing hip abduction exercises. I prescribed them frequently for women who didn't like the look of "hip dips" and they all filled out to some degree. I do not recommend males do these.

These types of questions are tough to answer online. Or rather, it's hard to evaluate the answers. First, you should never take advice from dudes who aren't big. I don't care what anyone claims they know or how strong they claim to be. Lifting for aesthetics is a very different game. Also, here's a mega blackpill... go to any local gym and look at all the guys, especially the regulars. 99% of these guys don't even look like they lift. Why? They don't know HOW to lift for aesthetics, which essentially means muscle building and shape. And yes, many dudes just don't have the genetics. I forget the guy's name on Instagram, but he's done all manner of sarms and steroids and has documented his journey. And the poor guy looks like shit. Strong as an ox, stronger than me for sure, but his body is awful. When you have genetics, things in the gym get much easier. That being said, you never know until you start putting in the real work.

I wouldn't worry about this. If you feel weak in these areas, then lift. But you should be focusing on squats, extensions, leg curls, calf raises, and leg press. You can get giant just focusing on these lifts. Then add what you need.

The key for aesthetic lifting is SPEED - YOU MUST SLOW DOWN. Don't use any other muscle besides the muscle you're focusing on. Focus on taking twice as long to descend as you do to contract the muscle. Don't think of it as lifting... think of stretching with weights.

If you follow that advice, you'll start getting noticed in 6 months to a year, depending on your genetics.

all you need for glutes are deadlifts, squats and leg curls

What do you need hips for? Focus on your posterior chain and you'll get a good butt if that's what you're worried about. Pancake ass is bad but so is wide hips.

are you a personal trainer?
Yes, but not for a gym anymore. I only take clients on in my home gym for private training by word of mouth and only after they meet certain criteria. I have a real job so I don't have time. I was a personal trainer at the YMCA and for varsity athletics at my local college for three years from 2015-2018
