Should we really do a leg day at the gym?

I’m planning to train only glutes and calves on leg day

Really depends, in most cases yes - just don't train them to the point they grow wider then the waist (gives illusion of a wider waist)

I was going to do only one leg day per week, but my legs actually responded better than when I trained them twice a week. What should I do if my legs are genetically my best muscle?
