i'm pretty tan by default due to my hispanic roots on my mother's side, used to be a really pale baby but overexposure to UV rays growing up in the hot western US sun all the time really messed my skin up giving it a darker complexion and I was wondering if there's any correction besides hardcore looksmaxxing like surgical bleaching.

I've been doing research and it appears that Hydroquinone cream combined with a routine nightly cleansing and beta carotene seems to have helped somewhat.

Any other tips or serums, creams, diet changes, etc. (?)

mequinol(safer than hydroquinone but slower), hydroquinone(gold standard but has side effects and is toxic, kojic acid(very safe, no prescription, slow), monobenzone(permanent removal of pigment).

I’m in the same exact boat as you but don’t bleach your skin just sit tight and hope for gene editing to be a thing in like 10-20 years. That shit can change your appearance permanently cuz all the shit we got now is useless and temporary. I went down the soap and cream route and it’s not worth it imo just megadose vitamin c and take a bunch of glutathione pills. Just know the second u stop u back at square one.

When you say slower has slower are these compared to hydroquinone? what are some possible sides from hydro and how toxic is it?

how long would i have to apply mequinol and koijic to notice significant changes in lip color?
