Hi, i used to be 180lbs at 5’9, but as per advice i got here i cut down. Currently i’m sitting at 156-159lbs. I have been lifting weights but strength has barely gone up while cutting. I still hVe a stomach and i want it to be gone. I was cutting at 2000 calories and plenty of cardio but since beginning of last month, I haven’t been able to lose anymore weight on this amount of food. When i go lower i feel turbo-shit. I just want this skinnyfat hell to be over with so i can gain some muscle. What should i do now? lean bulk and cut later, or keep cutting down on extreme low calorie diet? Thanks for the advice.

Problem is after losing like 20lbs, cutting stalled at 2000 calories a day and lots of cardio. Can’t imagine going down to 1800 or 1500 being a good idea.

As far as your muscle mass growth goes, That stuff is just simply slow as fuck. You can only quickly gain size natty, by getting fat. Muscle mass grows slow as fuck. It last a long time though, after having been build naty.

This is my experience. with it.

I went this path, as a former skinny fat person with gym natty.
1. lean/low fat, 12% bodyfat ranges minimum. Going from skinny fat to skinny, likely happens.
2. since muscle growth is slowish, to takes months, years to build a nice/decent muscle mass going along with this 12% bodyfat. Always 6 pack, year round, always vains year round.

If you want respect from men. tha stay as fat as you are, and ogre maxx in the gym, like a fat power lift.
If you want to appeal maxx to women, you need to go to sub15%, actually 12%. aka, visible abbs. You won't be big like a fat bulker, and guys won't be that impressed. Women like low bodufat on men. after that size. It will take a long time tp look decently big at 12% bodyfat, one needs probably 2 years of muscle mass building

So should I cut like 10-15lbs and then start a slow bulk?

Go super lean then learn reverse Diet aka lean bulk from your leanest point, it has insane results and you stay lean, feel good etc..

Go for your wanted bf first, then lean bulk (dont gain fat, small surplus of 200 to 300)

if you cant lose more weight, you can't count your calories, you probably overestimate how much you burn, if you sit around on your ass all day and do 1hr of cardio, you burn less than by litterally standing up 8hrs and walking 10 000 steps (bare minimum for weight loss, target should be 15 000)

If anything, the lean obsession seems to be for men. Plenty of women like bulked men.
