It doesn’t effect your symmetry as much as you’d think, yes it’s better for you to sleep on your back so the fluids in your face don’t go to one side. Sleeping on your back won’t just make your fucked up skull symmetry disappear if that’s your case, if you sleep on your side your skull shouldn’t get any more asymmetrical.

You might just look fatter/bloated on one side of your face if you sleep on sides
