Ive read in a thread that It would be better to expand at a lower rate (not the usual 3 months) with MSE in order for your upper maxilla to catch up and total bone remodelling to work? Does this actually have any base?

This study showed that rapid expansion had minimal but greater impact in the skeletal change

What type of expander is MSE considered, rapid? And does it make any sense in reducing the treatment span? Im talking about young patients, Im 18 personally.
Even for negligible result Id like to maximize any mid-upper maxilla expansion gain if its possible.

*Gonna do 2 future bumps to this

Rapid is better

Rapid is better
Rapid/slow is depended on how fast you expand or is there any surgical intervention happening aswell?
Is MSE considered rapid?
