if you worked out in the gym twice a week you were considered a good looking athletic man

now you have to grind and starve and even then you won't achieve a fitness model body. If you don't have great genetics- well then you're fucked. No steroids or movie standards for men back in the 50s.

sean connery was considered a hunk in the james bond movies

still more work than what a woman has to do to be attractive - but this is obviously pretty damn easy to achieve.
